Johnny Russell is a Cannes Lions YDA winning director specialising in dark comedy, surreal drama and heightened imagery. He has directed commercials and online content for household brands including Skyscanner, Quickbooks, Motorway and Sky Sports. His short films have received three separate Cannes Lions Young Director Award nominations, alongside selections at OSCAR, BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals, with premieres at the BFI and Aesthetica. He is mentored by BAFTA and Emmy-winning producer Laurie Borg, and is an official mentee of Directors UK x Inspire.
